We've all had those embarrasing situations come up where a blemish has decided to pay us a visit. Whether it be on the day of a big date, during a long awaited vacation or even a regular day at work. Here are a few bad skin problems that really stop people from showing off their micro bikini bodies for the summer.

Pimples
Acne is one of those skin problems that needs ongoing care. It affects people of all ages and it's up to you to keep on top of it. You can get an embarassing pimple on your face but what's even more problematic is having them on your bikini shaving areas. Use antibacterial cleaners and astringents to keep the skin clean and don't pick at any pimples that you see. You don't need a bunch of products, just proper cleaning will most likely keep your condition under control.

Ingrown Hairs
Ingrown hair is a condition where the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. There is nothing you can do to stop an ingrown hair from happening. Some of the symptoms may include a rash, itchy skin and puss collecting underneath the skin which may be an infection. You can treat it by shaving in different directions, exfoliating with facial scrubs and putting a warm towel over the ingrown hair to soften up the skin to ease the pain. Again, don't pick at anything that's infectious on your skin.

Boils
Boils are red, pus filled lumps that are extremely painful and tender on your skin. Sometimes a yellow or white discharge will occur at the center of the boil when it's ready to drain. You can get a boil just about anywhere on your body but most likely they occurr on the bottom of your buttocks by the bikini line. Use a warm cloth and over the counter pain medication to sooth it. Visit the doctor to get a topical solution to drain it. Some larger poils need cutting to help drain.

Skin Fungus
A skin fungus can be spotted by red, scaly and itchy skin. It's bacteria that's growing and festering on your skin. Don't scratch skin fungus because it can get underneath your nails and spread to other parts of your body. See your doctor immediately and he'll give you topical antibiotics to sooth the pain and ease the infection.

Dermatitis
Dermatitis is any kind of inflammation of the skin. It can result from almost anything but it's common to an allergic reaction to specific allergens. It includes eczema which can really become serious. Most lotions with oatmeal included can help to ease it but you should really consult with your doctor so he can determine the depth of your allergic reaction.

Razor Burn
Razor burn is an irritation of the skin caused by the use of a blunt blade or not using proper shaving technique. It appears as a mild rash for 2-4 days and usually disappears after a few days. Severe cases can cause razor bumps which are raised red welts. Keep the area clean and do not reshave over it. Aloe vera gel can help to reduce some of the irritation until it goes away.

Being aware of and knowing how to care for your skin will certainly help reduce having another embarrassing moment. You will finally be able to wear that bikini without having to cover up the rash from shaving. Hope these tips have helped you to recognize and take care of your skin this summer.
