One of the most popular home lighting fixtures that are used today are recessed lights. Recessed lights are also called as pot lights, downlights or canister light. These lights are installed in the hollow opening of ceilings. The visible portion of recessed lights is called as the trim, while the part of the light fixture which is installed inside the ceiling is called as housing. There are different types of housing and trim, as well as lamp types.

How to Install Recessed Lighting in Ceiling

Recessed lighting looks great in any kind of ceiling and any kind of interior decor.Here are some general instruction for installation of recessed lighting.

Material

* Recessed lighting fixtures
* Electrical wire 14/3
* Wire nuts
* A Stud finder or wire coat hanger

Procedure
Once you have decided on the recessed lighting placement for the recessed lamps, you need to find the power source for the lights. Then, with help of a stud finder, find out joists of the ceiling. Once you find a joist at the position where you want to install the lights, you need to drill a hole there, for wire. Drill the hole in a straight section of the wire coat hanger or stud finder with a 4 inches section at 90 degree angle. Rotate the hanger across 360 degrees to make sure that there are no obstructions. Repeat the same drilling procedure at rest of the locations that you want to install the recessed lights in. Now is the time to find a good power supply for your recessed lights.

Once you are done with the whole wiring process, you can patch the ceiling to conceal any visible damage. Then, make an outline of each light bulb fixture at the exact location. Cut around the outline with help of a drywall saw. Make sure you make cuts at the right location and of right size. Then, run the wire from power source to the joist holes that you just made. Put the wire through the junction box of the light and secure it with help of a wire clamp. Then strip off the wire with help of the wire stripper and connect fixture wires with the housing lines.

Why Some Keywords Will Rank Better In The Search Engines Than Others

Its absolutely crucial when writing content for a new web page or an article , that you carry out very thorough keyword research before you start to write the content.

The keyword phrases you choose to target in your content need to attract reasonable numbers of searches each month, whilst at the same time not having too much in the way of competition, otherwise you won’t be able to rank for them very easily, and you simply won’t get any traffic.

Now, not all keywords are created equally. The key is to find the keywords that get plenty of monthly searches but have not been specifically targeted by other webmasters.  What do I mean by “really” targeted?

Well there are several ways to analyse competition.

If you do a basic search in Google, you will likely see millions of results apparently returned, and the idea of competing with all of those sites may be a little daunting!

But if you surround your search phrase with inverted commas and search again, you should see the number of results vastly reduced. this particular search criteria only returns the competing web pages that have the keyword phrase somewhere in the page content, whereas the original search I did returned pages that only contained some or all of the words in the phrase at various points of the content.

Finally, if you place the following text in front of your phrase search, allintitle: , you will only see pages returned that have your keyword phrase in their page title.  This really indicates your real competition for your phrase.

The page title is the most important piece of on page search engine optimisation that there is. In order to rank well for a given keyword or phrase, simply make sure you include it in the title of your page or article.  When I do an allintitle phrase search, and see less than 1,000 results I know I can rank for it without having to get thousands of backlinks to do so.

When analysing how competitive a keyword phrase is, I always look at how many sites have the phrase in a page title, it gives a strong feel for how many sites are really optimising for the phrase.

Keyword Elite 2, Brad Callen’s awesome software, produces a report for all the keywords you select showing monthly traffic generated by the keyword versus the number of competing pages that have the phrase included in their page titles.

So literally, within just a few minutes you can identify the best keywords for your site from 1,000s of keywords related to your niche!

So you can see that not all keywords are created equal, and therefore your keyword research will have a huge effect on how successful your sites are.
